U.S indices fell on fears of a faster tapering of the Federal Reserve’s bond purchase program, although gains in banks and some strong earnings reports helped cap losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 53.39 points, or 0.15%, at 35,352.11 and the S&P 500 was down 10.14 points, or 0.23%, at 4,486.05.
